I can’t help but comparing this to the Almodovar (Bitter Christmas), Victoria Luengo is great in both, but to me this one is much better finished. I allow myself to compare them as they are both Spanish speaking movies about making movies with Luengo and Volcanoes. Even though Better Christmas is a fundamentally different story (and one I recommend to go see) and this one is missing Almodovar’s colors, the dialog is on the same level here and the story much more compelling and better told. I love how confused I am about the use of colors, grain, and film stock in this movie (it’s crazy, I counted at least 4 or 5 aspect ratios, video, digital and film, black and white, “colorized”, orange, and that one angel scene). All in all I preferred this one by far.

On a pas eu la même séance l’équipe. Moi y a une discussion de trente minutes avec le réalisateur et y avait Marina Foïs à ma droite. Mais continuez à dire que vous aviez les meilleures conditions pour voir ce film sur les nepo babies. C’est quoi la suite ? Un film sur les algo babies ?
