If this was released while DVDs were all the rage, then we would have an annoying subsect of people desperately trying to convince everyone its a misunderstood masterpiece.
Man I was really digging this for a while, but the romance is just terrible and takes up both too much and not enough time. A lot of things worked, Sadie Sink, the music, the cinematography, the set design, and some effective 'creep outs' with the facejob motif. But overall, it comes out a bit underbaked. Still fun, and the concept alone is dope as fuck, but it could've been executed a lot better.
