I am often surprised at how topical life can be. Sometimes I’ll go through a phase where everything I consume or participate in seems to point towards some very specific lesson. It’s probably just the frequency illusion, but even if it is, what a superpower to consciously or unconsciously change my noticing.
Wildcat uses that line of thinking to make a movie fit for an author. It starts at the things she notices, and the short stories she writes about them, and uses that to build its reality. I can understand the middling reviews, but I do think this is a unique and well-made examination of the artistic process.
