Dr. T & The Women is a highly underrated Robert Altman film. Yet, somehow it makes perfect sense to me why this is often considered one of his most divisive. This chaotic, female surrounded film grabbed my attention, and never let go; However, I would never plead to anyone that Dr. T is an “exceptional film”. The characters and plot lines are erratic like any Altman film, yet there’s such an individualized feel to Dr. T & The Women. The score builds constant suspense while also enhancing many of the characters erotic pleasures. There’s something extremely intimate about Robert Altmans naturalism, which in my opinion, is on full display within his first 2000s film.
72/100
