Dr. T & The Women is a highly underrated Robert Altman film. Yet, somehow it makes perfect sense to me why this is often considered one of his most divisive. This chaotic, female surrounded film grabbed my attention, and never let go; However, I would never plead to anyone that Dr. T is an “exceptional film”. The characters and plot lines are erratic like any Altman film, yet there’s such an individualized feel to Dr. T & The Women. The score builds constant suspense while also enhancing many of the characters erotic pleasures. There’s something extremely intimate about Robert Altmans naturalism, which in my opinion, is on full display within his first 2000s film.

Richard Gere’s face has been calling to me from the Criterion “leaving November 30th” section and I couldn’t resist any longer.
A LOT going on here. I was gonna give it 2 stars because it’s kind of a crazy ride but the way I can’t stop thinking about this man’s delusion that he is simply TOO GOOD is worth another half star. Like sir you’re actually blind to the feelings of everyone around you, suffocating your wife with your expectations and exalting women as a way to feel better about yourself when in reality you’re kind of dismissing everything about them in order to centre your own perspective??? But OKAY.
Didn’t cry.

That ending literally blew me away.
Extremely underrated little satiric farce with a killer cast and a dynamite heat check from Liv Tyler.
Also, did I mention how great the ending is???????
