Omen III: The Final Conflict is not the last Omen film. It's crazy how many horror movies have "Final", "Last", or "End" in the title, but are also in the middle of their series.
This film is a step down from the last, and several steps from the first. Every element was lacking something. The acting wasn't as strong, the story was extremely boring and sloppily put together, and the kills are very lackluster. Sam Neill does a solid job as an older Damien. It's a shame he doesn't really have much to do other than stand around and look menacing. Two things The Final Conflict has going for it are the cinematography and the score.
It's surprisingly well shot. Usually with lesser known sequels like this you expect them to look ugly and cheap. There were some really gorgeous shots in this film especially where gothic architecture was involved. The climax at the end had some stunning and symbolic imagery. The fantastic score completely took me off guard. It belongs in a much better movie. The symphony and choir together create a haunting sound that completely outshines anything going on screen.
I've certainly seen worse, but Omen III left a lot to be desired.

this definitely had the potential to be superior to the second sequel - as that is definitely a flawed movie. i think the biggest reason why this is the weak point of the franchise is it just lost everything that made the other two films enjoyable. it has too many subplots, it’s not really interesting and also - the ending felt completely nonsensical. sam neill is definitely cool, but i was fighting to stay awake for majority of the film
