every movie should begin with a statement from the director about how scary it is and that pregnant women shouldn't watch it. best part of this is when the two main characters go and see sam raimi's spider-man and you hear dialogue about the green goblin while the woman has a scary hallucination. that's like within the first 30 minutes and it's all downhill from there

I’m sorry, there isn’t much here that I like, at all. Apart from the fact that the acting wasn’t great in my opinion, the score and sound design overall were awful. The music cues were poorly placed throughout the film and this really brought me out of it. The horror itself wasn’t bad and was actually quite fun at times, but that alone is not enough from saving this viewing for me.

Felt an urge to re-watch Bhoot tonight, after almost 20 years probably?
It’s a generic 00s Hindi supernatural horror affair but holy fuck, this movie actually delivers — gargling sound bites of the television, gray color grading and the floating camerawork provides the film with a unique sheen.
My favorite scene has to be when Urmila, Ajay, Rekha, Tanuja, Fardeen and Seema Biswas are casually chilling out in the bedroom.
