More than anything else King of Jazz is an interesting film. It's different in its fragmented approach to musical filmmaking, and its use of both sound and color, makes it a monumental development from the films that were released just a few years before.
The film never truly caught my undivided attention, but still was a fun watch if for nothing else than its place in film history.
