let me preface this by saying i live in indiana. i live across the street from a corn field. every public school i have attended has been the same. corn is scary. it has always been scary. maybe it's the sheer volume of it all. maybe it's the way it completely consumes you once you take two steps into it. maybe it's the way that you can't tell left from right, back from front once you really get in. it's not fun.
children of the corn is not good, but it's stephen king. you can count on stephen king for one thing: an absolutely insane concept that somehow HITS. this movie is not good, but it is enjoyable. it is unintentionally funny, purposefully weird, and ham-fistedly metaphorical.
i enjoyed it. [CORN JUMPSCARE]
