Hard to describe how happy I was when what I thought was going to be a middling folk horror turned out to be a good old fashioned post- Se7en procedural. Like opening a diaper to find a quarter.
Basically, you’ve seen this in limited series form a million times but you don’t have to commit 6 hours and the flourishes of horror are pretty gonzo. Nasty piece of business, this one.
