Well, Spacey aside, this movie's attitudes about the holiday season have aged spectacularly well. The LaGravense script is fucking electric, as well, with beautifully acerbic threats and insults being thrown around like javelins, and the fantastic supporting cast taking wounds with equal humor. It was also nice to see Schillinger and Father Mukada from OZ in small early roles (Schillinger getting blackmailed was an especially nice touch), really accentuating the 90s of it all. And naturally, this movie is the Denis Leary show, and if you like him (I do, being from Boston) you'll love this and if you don't, you'll find his schtick grating.
Not a bad way to spend Christmas Eve if you're an embittered cynic!
