Hellfire is an action thriller right out of the past but fails to bring anything charm or its own identity and instead brings generic action stranger comes to town thriller.
Firstly Stephen Lang is very cool in this. He doesn't play the nameless stranger coming to a troubled town well. The action is clearly on a budget but it's not bad. Not great but not bad.
The problem with this movie comes that its just generic. I watched it for Stephen Lang, Dolph Lundgren and Harvey keitel. The only one who I like is Stephen Lang while the villian played by Harvey is boring along with the son of the villian.
One more thing I liked was what happened to the people of the town. It felt darker than Normal movies like this. That being said the build up isn't good or exciting. They also play I'm a poor wayfaring stranger alot which is a song I like but they overuse it here.
So in the end it's fun enough for a train ride back home but not one I'll likely watch again.
