Classic grandeur picture of anti facism story through the beauty landscape and culture of Greece, and stacked with wonderful casts. Guns of Navaron is a solid "man on mission" movie, packed with tactial action and tension. Although, I find some scenes in this movie , like the wrecking ship and cliff climbing sequences, to be frank, a bit tepid and quite bloating the story.

Anthony Quinn performed a badass warm-blooded man but still theatrically charming and David Niven as a genius sarcastic man really elevated the humor vibe to this movie. I adore Gregory Peck, but his stiffness somehow quite derailed and a bit abrupt. He might not become the best character in this movie but it still appreciable.

I was enjoying everything about this until the third act. It fizzles out, leaving the main characters in the backseat, forgetting its identity #putsomeleanimmycup

AHHHHH I JUST WANT TO WATCH IT IN 4K. I DONT WANT TO PAY MORE MONEY. They really thanked Greece at the beginning. This happens sometimes when I watch old movies but everyone in this movie is dead. Nobody who worked on this movie is alive. It’s just kinda weird to think about sometimes when watching older movies. Also I stupidly watched the sequel many years ago. Lmao the dummy German soldier being thrown off the cliff. I’m surprised he just dropped his gun. This movie is so long and the pacing is a bit slow, Kinda overrated ngl. It’s too long. Feels dragged out. Probably could’ve shaved off about 40 minutes or so.
