going through shunji iwai’s filmography, i’m realising that i’m always in awe with everything he has made. he captures, writes and films the beauty, aesthetic and ephemerality of human connection throughout all his works, and i’m never bored. he inspires the artist in me, the dreamer in me to create art that might just make an audience feel something, beyond the mundane, that’s the type of artist i aspire to be.
