Felt like amateur hour watching this, nothing really crazy except for John Malkovich acting fruity the whole time. Obviously, different directors and actors will have different takes on characters, and unfortunately, I think I’ll just keep comparing every Ripley movie to The Talented Mr. Ripley. I’m focused too much on whose portrayal of Tom is better, and probably enjoyed the movie less because of that.
