Every little part of Behind the Mask's concept is sublime. Making a world where all the famous horror slashers exist and are human? Yes please. Showing us the "birth" of a new slasher from the perspective of a documentary crew? Hell yeah!

At a slim ninety minutes, Behind the Mask is a fantastic experience. It might not be the best in terms of its screenplay, performances or filmmaking in general- but the overall atmosphere that masterfully combines mockumentary and horror-comedy is truly one of a kind. This is more than found footage. Imagine if Man Bites Dog was a comedy.
