Blood and Gold - Not a «Golden» but bloody find
Blood and Gold is a action/war film taking place right before World War II ended. Even though many points was rather, well, badly made. Especially the English dub, that was pretty horrible. It had decent action, thin writing, and odd pacing. Acting was solid, special effects was also.
Overall? 6/10, not hugely recommended

Peter Thowarth's 'Blood and Gold' is a step up, in almost every way, from the only other of his films that I seen, 'Blood Red Sky.' While both (I think) are Netflix productions, this is one of those instances where a bigger budget and a better script can work wonders. The cinematography here also seems like a marked improvement (though with so much of BRS being set in confined locations, perhaps that's not an entirely fair comparison).
Anywho, here we have a film that, while pretty obviously indebted to the opening sequence of 'Inglorious Basterds,' manages to have a lot of fun by allowing nearly every character to kick, punch, stab, burn, poison, and/or shoot a Nazi, and really, what more do you want? It's not great art, nor is it trying to be, but it is entertaining in a 'what if 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' was rated a hard R for violence' kind of way.
While the 'Gold' part of the story drags a bit here and there (the film is overlong by at least 15 minutes), it delivers on the 'Blood' (though, admittedly, some is digital) and, sometimes, like the day I watched it, that's enough.
