I went into this movie completely blind; I hadn't even seen a trailer or any marketing for it. Surprisingly, I found it to be really good! The story was a lot of fun, the performances were fantastic, and the music was AMAZING. I don’t know the name of the song performed at the very end, but it’s stuck in my head—it's really catchy. I loved how this movie balanced elements of horror, suspense, and romantic comedy.
What impressed me the most about the film, aside from the dark twist at the end, was the great chemistry between Melissa Barrera and Tommy Dewey. They made this movie much funnier than I expected. Their comedic timing was excellent, and you could tell they had a lot of fun making this film. In my opinion, this is certainly Melissa Barrera's best performance! I’m a huge fan of the Scream franchise, and she was amazing in the fifth and sixth movies, but I honestly think this was her best performance. She really showcased her emotional range throughout the movie, especially in that ending scene OH…… MY…… GOD I was not expecting that at all !
Overall, amazing movie! I really wish the marketing had been better because I definitely would’ve seen this in theaters. I had an amazing time and was grinning from ear to ear the whole way through. I really loved the ending, even though I know a lot of people might not feel the same way. For me, it just made the movie even better!
