i remember this being my favorite Pokémon movie, years later, still nothing changed!
the storyline is so emotional. seeing Molly’s imagination come to life through the Unown was magical, a lot deeper than most Pokémon movies. i loved how the movie explored themes of loss, loneliness, and the power of imagination, more than just the battles. Entei is amazing, not just a “big legendary Pokémon” but a literal parental figure for Molly.
speaking of battles, the action is super cool. Ash and his friends handle Entei while trying to save everyone is brilliant, it’s even more impactful knowing that’s all tied to Molly’s feelings. the best final battle! the animation is bright and magical. Spell of the Unown is one of the most touching Pokémon movies.
