The Baker brood moves to Chicago after patriarch Tom gets a job coaching football at Northwestern University, forcing his writer wife, Kate, and the couple's 12 children to make a major adjustment. The transition works well until work demands pull the parents away from home, leaving the kids bored -- and increasingly mischievous.

“And each day, it’s the number of times I’m thankful there’s such a thing as family.”
cried myself a river from the very beginning. this movie is so messy, chaotic, and emotional, yet somehow still feels incredibly warm.
it honestly convinced me that there’s nothing more beautiful than sibling love. siblings fight, annoy each other, and sometimes hurt each other in ways no one else can but they still stay. they still love you despite everything, and i think that’s such a beautiful thing :(
i love this movie so much. and yes, no matter how many times i say i want to kill and leave my family, i would absolutely kill for them every single time.
