In the year 50 BC, Gaul is occupied by the Romans - nearly. But the small village of Asterix and his friends still resists the Roman legions with the aid of their druid's magic potion, which gives superhuman strength. Learning of this potion, a Roman centurion kidnaps the druid to get the secret formula out of him.

I have no connection to Asterix. I’ve never read the books or seen any of the movies, honestly didn’t even know who he was until seeing this and I think it was a solid introduction. I’ve heard the other 2 movies are better than this so I’ll probably check them out eventually.

This series stretches across all styles of animation, and I love seeing a 60’sbroadcast quality animation adaptation. Still looks goofy and the plot isn’t my favorite.
