Has all the ingredients of a good movie: the mention of an Iron Lung and Bruce Campbell

Another fine edition to the "David Ogden stiers plays a doctor in the 50s" cinematic universe (fmgcl)

A heartfelt inspiring film that dragged a little at first for me but then really took off in a way I didn’t expect

The Majestic
The Majestic was released three months after 9/11, around Christmas time. There’s an alternate universe where it was marketed differently and becomes an American classic.

It’s a little long, maybe a little cheesy, and probably has one too may plot lines, but it’s sweet and it’s Jim Carrey trying, and somewhat succeeding, to do a Jimmy Stewart movie.

“I’m not Luke anymore.”

Anyone who likes this movie needs to stay far far away from giving out recommendations. Super boring, the beginning was hard to follow, and It could’ve been at least 30 minutes shorter. Hard pass from me, wouldn’t wish this movie on any family.
