I think I understood this through its beauty rather than its words. I watched this in two sittings so when resuming it half way through I was a bit disjointed but still got the gist. One thing I know for sure was that the cinematography in this was stunning from the outfits to the sunsets. The actual plot was a bit dull but made up for it with all of the stunning shots and visuals. There is a really surprising appearance from Gary Oldman but he’s only in a small part of the film. Overall it was great to watch but not as great to understand.

Très beau film contemplatif, mais les personnages -surtout parthenope- sont beaucoup trop extravagant à mon goût même si le film veut rendre hommage à la légende de la sirène de Naples de part sa beauté..etc mais bon
