So I finally finished season 2 of Stand Alone Complex! And im conflicted. There’s so much it do so much better than season 1 but a few things that just aren’t as good. The ending is fairly anti climatic and the soundtrack is WAY worse than season 1. But the Stand Alone episodes are much better, and the Individual Eleven storyline is also good but laughing man was better. Overall though I really loved it and the Tachikoma sacrifice at the end genuinely broke me and automatically earns this 5 stars.

I wasn’t a fan of how our main villain was revealed so obviously and so quickly. I think part of the fun of GitS is the slow, methodical unraveling of the conspiracy. Still has everything I love about this series, complicated political theater mixed with futuristic tech and battles grounded in reality.
