So weird that they have these uncomfortable conversations and then just almost immediately move on from them. That, in combination with the fact that it tries to be the sort of movie that has things bubbling under the surface the entire time, but those aspects don’t work and just come off as frustrating, results in this movie feeling like it has no stakes and like the conversations have no purpose. Also the characters are just so weird. This movie is so confused and has so many ideas and tries to get away with not explaining anything but that just ends up with nothing making sense. I love that they used the phrase “fucking with you historically”. Also dude what’s happening. Why do none of the characters have motivations or even like identifiable traits. And why in a movies about abuse and control towards a woman do we barely spend any time focused on her. And zero conclusions r made shit just keeps happening until they decide it’s time for them to all go home uh oh better end it now.
I am placing bets now, the men in my uni class are going to defend the actions of the male characters and also try and argue that what they do is ok
