When he's asked to perform with a $12 million horse, he discovers it is being doped to remain docile. He flees into the desert astride the beast in an act of defiance. robert redford manages to say, fuck it, i’m gonna give the horse girlies what they want and quite literally became one for this.
seriously tho. i was promised a heavy alcoholic rodeo star all strapped in fairy lights figuring out a million dollar horse named rising star was being mistreated, so he proceeds to steal him and take him through vegas, followed by jane fonda as a journalist wanting to put his story out there - leading to a romance blossoming whilst he sets said million dollar horse free into the countryside. and i was promised a dope as fuck soundtrack (willie nelson) and a dope as fuck cameo (willie nelson). and i was promised it’d be entertaining. and i was NOT disappointed.
i loved this movie and would absolutely watch it again. robert redford i loved your magnificent hair. i’d kill to have him (or anybody for that matter) speak to me the same way robert redford spoke about that horse.
