In a small traditional Georgian village, Etero, the owner of a housekeeping shop, is a forty-eight-year-old spinster. She cherishes her freedom, as much as her cakes, and is preparing for a peaceful and comfortable retirement away from gossip. But a fiery affair with her delivery man could derail all her plans.

A pleasant film that portrays several things in an extremely fascinating and realistic way: from the serene solitude of many unmarried women approaching old age, to the sudden infatuation of a man who has perhaps received genuine attention for the first time in decades, but also the desolation of living in a remote small town, forced to remain friends with the same five people you can’t stand.

Tonight I found out that I did not know the difference between getting shot at and
I fear to not fall in love, because I fright to grow alone. I often find myself pitying the idea of being alone in old age, questioning why anyone would choose that when there are billions of people in the world. But the film itself answered it. Perhaps it's family factors— or even the first love that we convinced ourselves was "nothing."
Etero and Murman's relationship was a perfect depiction of what a blackberry is—visually sweet from the outside, but tart on the inside. However, the ending feels like a radical change of perspective for Etero. She spent her life fearing the intrusion of another person, even love, yet she ends up with a new reason to change her view on "having someone." It’s a bittersweet unfolding for a character who thought she had it all figured out.
"You know what this love looks like? It looks like an Autum Eto. It's the last one."

made me a bit emotional to see someone with my exact body type on screen, especially someone who is so strikingly beautiful and proud and plump and smells like the sun
found the blackberry of it all to be shoehorned in there, disturbing what were otherwise grounded performances
