Don’t think they had enough fake blood in this movie. In all seriousness though will say I was a little disappointed after I finished watching this in I thought it was going to be scarier instead it’s just kind of super confusing. I understand it’s a video game adaptation and I will admit I know nothing about the source material so I’m already at a disadvantage but the movie itself does nothing to help alleviate the burden of all the lore dumping they do. It makes it so the movie has a hard time standing independently and I found that a real bummer. Markiplier did a solid job acting, I wouldn’t say it’s an amazing job but it was a definite B- I would say. Some people were saying it’s a slow burner but I felt like the pacing was actually solid, there’s a few parts that are a bit long winded but overall it’s better than a lot of other horror movies. It was a very original idea to put on the big screen though and I did enjoy a lot of the cinematography and set design. I will say the lighting was a bit lacking, yeah it’s supposed to be dark and shit but I literally had to turn my tv brightness up to see what the fuck was going on sometimes. It was good, not great, wish it was scarier, I had a good time watching it but was thoroughly confused by the end, I really hope Markiplier makes another flick. I don’t know if I’d rewatch this though.
