Endearing and timeless story. While early works like straight shooting and 3 bad men lay groundwork for some of Ford westerns, this is more in vein of his movies about lower class struggles. While the character struggle isn't all that exciting, he's kinda one note good guy, the story and character relations in the movie is enough to keep it an enjoyable watch. Visually it isn't very striking or as impre as some of his other silent stuff, but overall a nice little short and fast paced movie
