Maharaja is an interesting study case on a movie, it’s like an absolute roller coaster when it comes to cinema. Like the ending was phenomenal but the acting is atrocious. I will say that it’s probably one of the hardest movies to rate on my list so far. In the end the cons definitely outweighed the pros, the emotional scenes were not as impactful due to the sub par acting, the CGI scenes were pretty rough. The script it meh, the sound work is shotty. Really the only good part of the movie is the ending but the ending is absurdly good. The last frames of the movie really packed a big one two punch along with a super crazy twist that in all honesty I wasn’t expecting. The last frame of the movie really sealed it. I’d probably not watch it again but if I did it would be specifically because the ending was so good.

the nonlinear information reveal was a little annoying, but honestly it works and it creates a pretty crazy third act. maybe it could have been a bit tighter. otherwise, this was pretty good. was funny at times, sad sometimes, but was thoroughly engaged throughout. without giving it away, this reminds me of a very particular south korean film about vengeance
