Sure it’s a run-of-the-mill biopic, but you get a little more wiggle room on that front if it’s about a relatively obscure figure. Even after four years at IU, I knew very little about Kinsey and his work, so at least this is informative. The ending was surprisingly touching. 

Oliver Platt as Herman B Wells is perfect casting.

i actually really enjoyed the movie and context behind kisney, his scale and the research he conducted ! i was sad to then find out that he was a predatory creep whose less than favorable behavior was not included in this biographical film… dropping half a star for tht

I think the subject manager is more interesting than the executed project. It kind of just takes Kinsey’s story and plug it into a dry biopic formula
