This is the first stop motion film out of Mexico which is pretty cool, and I do love stop motion animation. The art is fantastic, and although it’s not up to the quality of a studio like Laika, the art direction more than makes up for that. All of the character designs and locations are great.

So good. Stopmotion is such an underrated and under-created medium. There should be more stopmotion projects in the world, especially in an industry with an increasing amount of AI usage. Stopmotion creates some really creatively remarkable and unique films.

Also kinda reminded me of Scream Street.

Very technically beautiful, though there are some moments that seem to break the stylistic immersion.

Story starts strong, the second act is kinda ok, and then the third act is strange. But then I looked it up and learned this movie is a prequel to a tv series(wtf????) so they kind of had to write themselves into a corner a little bit.

Beautiful story writing and such unique world building. The acting was mildly spotty at times, otherwise a flawless film with many swings that I think they nailed down greatly
