It may be the most powerful film when we talk about the power of cinema, and how it moves us. How it transports us to moments we probably never experienced, but thanks to cinema, we are able to feel them. Also how it moves people—how it makes them laugh, cry, feel joy, anger, and basically every known emotion. An epic film by Giuseppe Tornatore that will live in my heart forever. Watching this movie in the theater is the ultimate experience of living Cinema Paradiso.
I loved every one of the references (and I turned into DiCaprio when I saw the I Vitelloni scene—in my mind I said, “I remember this,” I swear it’s just a coincidence that I watched it yesterday.) And Leone’s style is very noticeable.
A tremendous masterpiece that every film lover must see.
