❝My parents are super-liberal for Indians. Just, uh, don't bring up drinking, or meat, or sex, or drugs, and obviously, no display of physical affection or open declarations of love.❞
❝You know how things always get super weird whenever anything gay comes up? Well, I just thought I'd put everyone at ease by mentioning my white, Hindu, orphan, artist boyfriend. Mom? Dad? Do you want another son... who's white?❞

A Nice Indian Boy was sweet and pretty funny. I'm not a huge fan of rom-coms, but it was written and acted well, and I'm always up for Indian and LGBTQIA+ representation. The film very much uses millennial humour, which doesn't always work for me, but the emotional moments were really good, and I'll admit I cried quite a bit during the wedding scene. I loved the bright colours and outfits, although they made me feel homesick, and though the cinematography wasn't necessarily anything special, there were some great shots here and there. Overall, a nice film, and one I think is worth watching with family.
