Like cmon Penny... we all know not every single player was straight and loved their husband and kids! hell it wasn't even a majority! like EVEN YOU WERE AWARE OF THIS. dont give me the bullshit of "It was a different time" then dont make the movie! if you are aware that you're not representing it in the way that it truly happened then don't do the truly amazing people who participated and sacrificed their time a disservice by misrepresenting them as something that they were completely not.

Im so sorry for being a hater but Dottie's real life counterparts WHO SHE WAS BASED ON WERE LITERALLY GAY and somehow in the movie she ends up married to an all-american soldier... Geena Davis is still the most beautiful woman on earth

A very good wholesome movie about a group of girls being coached by tom hanks. A movie proving that feminism in movie works when done well. One of the best sports movies of its era.

Had been wanting to revisit this for a while (mind you, I last saw it like 18 years ago or so) as I've gotten into baseball, but especially now that we are expecting not only a possible MLB lockout next year but a new women's professional baseball league at the same time. How exciting!

Great film, perhaps the start of Tom Hanks's greatest run as an actor (which, arguably, goes from this to Toy Story 3). Everything from here was a step up for him. The same goes for what is really a strong cast overall - Madonna! Rosie O'Donnell! Bill Pullman! Geena Davis! We had it so good. Might possibly be the greatest baseball film ever made.
