this is another strong example from Allen’s early, more anarchic comedic period. while it does have a plot in theory, for most of the film it’s really driven by individual comic sequences, playing more like a string of sketches linked by a single protagonist. but since most of those sketches land humor-wise, there’s not much to fault.
