My reasoning for the 4 star is a little biased and personal. I hate the incest. I cried a lot idk I wish they went with her dad not being her real dad trope. IF THEY WENT WITH THAT TROPE IT WOULD’VE BEEN LESS INCEST-Y

I KNEW I RECOGNIZED THAT MF WHO WAS FLIRTING WITH ROSE. FUCK PHIL FROM CHILDS PLAY 2. I HATE THAT MF.

the plot could not be any messier and the first one IS objectively better, but this movie is perfect to me and is always the one I reach for when I miss summerrrrr

when tiny dancer played as vada got on the plane 😪😪 AND AND when swingtown played during the taxi ride soooo good and so california 

omg when she wakes up and walks out on the balcony and just stares at the veiwwwwughhhhh

“the thing you said about your nose, how it’s a strangers nose, well it’s not it’s yours” my heart. 

“the memory of barbaric customs”  

when vada was watching the old home movies of her mom and she twirls her hair the same way she does while singing. i could cry.

AND THEN she goes on to sing her baby brother to sleep with the SAME SONGGGGGUGHYYGGHH
