Funny moment when Johnny showed up at the department looking for Johnny D and nobody recognized him lol
Christian Bale looking like a handsome stylish dude
There are shootouts but calling it action feels like a stretch
The movie looks nice overall but it's so dark I spent most of the time just staring at my own face in the screen instead of the actual movie, ugh
The plot just didn't grab me. The characters besides Depp and Bale's did nothing for me, and even those two felt kinda flat and underdeveloped. Could've been two really vibrant characters with some solid tension between them but they never really showed that dynamic, which sucks cause that would've made the movie way more interesting
And Johnny's death at the end was so random. Like why
I didn't really get the point of the movie. Just some agent chasing a thief? Seen that a million times. What was supposed to make this one stand out? Nothing really, just the two leads I guess
And why the fuck did Melvin kill himself...
Like at least give ONE reason

I love this era of America and both Johnny Depp and Christian Bale really brought it to life. 
I found the first hour of the film quite rushed, but the second was perfect for me. I only wished we got to see more of John and Billy.

Btw that mf got balls, what you mean he is walking inside a police investigation room with the sole purpose of finding Dillinger. Like whhaaaat.
