Coming off of the first one, this kind of blew me away. I can’t remember the last time I rooted this much for such a fuck up of a character. Maybe since Jesse Pinkman.
So cool how Refn is able to present such a grounded and gritty story while still pumping it full of style. Whereas something like Drive is elevated to the point where it feels other worldly, almost like a fairy tale. Pusher still feels like it could be happening right now in the real world.
Easily my favorite Mads Mikkelsen role so far, will definitely be coming back to this one.
