-.5 stars for Popeyes creepy forearms. Besides that this movie is so cute and so unserious, I really loved it !! I didn’t realize this was like a full on musical when I started it but the songs were so wacky and weird that I was on board immediately. Shelly Duvall shines so bright her way of singing and line delivery is next level and couldn’t be replicated easily. I’m curious to know how lore accurate this is to the Popeye cartoon/universe but not curious enough to look into it.
