Madness slowly devours this house and family from within. The camera is possessed! Love its agility and dynamism. It creates a cathartic release upon its swooping ascent up the house. Sonia interacts with the camera in a believable way. Her reactions create a psychic palpability of the brother's presence.
I think either the editing suffers or the compromised subs really impacted my understanding, but either way the flow of time and narrative felt a tad disjointed. So while a few times my engagement wavered, the overall effectiveness of its techniques were pretty damn good. I loved the exterior shots. Kinda wish we had a few more.
