The one-hundred-year-old Fujiya inn stands in the quiet region of Kyoto. Mikoto is standing in front of the Kibune river at the back of the building when she is called back to work. But two minutes later, she finds herself back at the river again. The whole inn seems to be stuck in a time loop!

Another low budget wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey film directed by Junta Yumaguchi & written by Makoto Ueda. Previous film: Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes 🕒
I really enjoyed the previous movie, but it did get rather repetitive. This movie, although also repetitive, is far less so. I enjoyed this one a little more, and it was very sweet. Another impressive low budget movie.

Yamaguchi really found his footing with this one. I’d like to see what he could do with a third, and round this out as a trilogy.

It’s much more aesthetic than Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes, but I think the ending falls a little too flat for me, but still a cozy little movie.

wish this had been developed much more fully tbh and I think the idea was not at its full potential BUT well done anyway
