Les Aventuriers felt less like a film and more like sitting beside Alain Delon for two hours, watching someone carry loneliness with impossible elegance. There’s something about him that always reaches me beyond cinema itself, the silence, the eyes, the way he makes melancholy look human. I think a part of why I love films is because of what Delon made me feel the first time I saw him on screen.
