m night’s most personal film as he journeys back to his home country to create a story about reconnecting with his people and his culture. a culture he and i share, which makes this all the more relatable to me.

As much as I respect M. Night Shyamalan, I must admit that Praying with Anger is an absolute slog to get through. The film explores some interesting themes, but ultimately, there's nothing about its story or technical execution that captivates me. With that being said, it's not like this is an offensively bad film or anything. It's just kinda boring, for lack of a better word.
