It's just way too unfocused. For a documentary that is supposed to be focused on the comeback special, they spend a lot of time fucking around talking to randos. I understand why they spent so much time on what lead to the special, but I wanted a deep dive into it and we spent too much time on tangents. The editing is so weird and it doesn't have any flow. There is some good stuff in there, but it's all "Clip, some shit from a random dancer, Hootie, someone who actually has important first hand knowledge, next clip". Why am I hearing this extended bit about Colonel Parker's alleged murder of someone overseas? Tell me about how they got to "If I Can Dream" instead of making it sound like it just popped out of nowhere. The Elvis movie from last year was more in depth about the special than this doc.
