damn i wanted to like this more, but yeah some old movies just don’t stand the test of time
you can tell this film had a lot of impact on this genre of film. i would be surprised if Uncut Gems didn’t reference this (especially with the sound), but unfortunately this just came across as corny and kinda boring.
my favorite part was James Caan’s collection of 501s. damn does he make those jeans look good. i’m going on ebay rn
the only other interesting part was Leo who I did think was a good antagonist in the third act, but it was too little too late.
also I don’t know if this was just the theater but I had a rough time understanding/hearing the dialogue in the first half
