Watchmen 1 animated:
Holy, it's just like the comic. I really like how they animated it in the Marvel What If show artstyle and removed the mythic weight unlike the Snyder film, ig it won't work that well in animation unlike film. I like how Nite Owl feels less pathetic in this, Rorschach meanwhile was an absolute jerk. It's slightly more comic accurate. I'm sure Moore would appreciate it.
Ngl, story wise, this film might better, probably cause it includes the minute details that Alan Moore added and Moore is indeed a genius wizard.
I especially like the Dr Manhattan sequence and the flashbacks as he narrates, it was unchronoligical and messy, a decent depiction of his omniscient.
Icl to you, I liked the HBO watchmen show, it's a decent continuation of a story that's unneeding of any sequels, unneeded but decent.
I like how the retro futurism aesthetics of the books are translated well into the film.
I would love to actually read the fictional book Under the Hood, Hollins seems like such a great altruistic guy.
Something that was really surprising to see was the obvious parallel between Adrian, the other ch and the story Black Frieghter, in a way that wasn't as immediately clear in the Snyder film.
The lore was also indeed more present.
In short, this film was more stylish and comic accurate, thus the lore and minute details were ever so present, while Snyder's film was more epic, darker(literally), and more emotionally heavy. Thus, like a great man once said, visuals>story, said by Goob of course.
