There’s a lot to appreciate about Allen’s early satirical slapstick comedies, but in my opinion, it’s the least interesting phase of his career. They’re funny, but not as funny as his later works, and certainly not as thematically, visually, or narratively engaging. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a good laugh, they’ll definitely provide that.

Allen and Keaton’s commitment to the bit needs to be studied. They are incredible in this, their physical humour is so good. Also cool to see they filmed this in my home state of Colorado. Many recognisable locations.

Plus, it's Woody Allen! What could he possibly do that could make you not love that guy? I can't think of anything. I mean maybe sexually assaulting his daughter and marrying his other daughter or something. But that would never happen.
