she is stunning.
super 1970s. also very sentimental and emotional. it makes the audience feel, especially scenes with the father being not being accepting. those scenes were really heartbreaking, (when he asked her to dress as a woman).
generally well thought out progression and decent pacing. but i did skip through just a little bit.
my main issue with this is not the fact that a 17 year old is brought to a show like that in the start but the fact that this seems to fetishise trans people? i support her and her wanting to be in the business but it's honestly quite disgusting that a cis (?) man took an obsession to her. right after seeing she was trans. this film seems to show the journey of a trans woman and feminism, but at the same time showing that an older cis man wanting her = her being loved (AKA FETISHISED). doesn't sit right with me. but what can i say, it was the 1970s.
