Yearning is so crazy. Everything is fragile and fleeting. So many themes to unpack here that I’ll be processing for a while. The shots were so interesting and beautiful. The use of mirrors and stairs and overly filled small rooms stuck out the most to me. I really enjoyed this and I’m looking forward to a rewatch.

almost watched this on a porn site with a 240p resolution, luckily i found one in HD from the deepest corners of the web, which was really rewarding because this is just a visual feast from beginning to end, thanks to cinematographer, noboru shinoda (who later workedwith shunji iwai)

also, the music...thank god it's on spotify
