humans are such a broken species.
if we come across a miracle, our first instinct is to protect it – not out of care, or even safety, but pure selfishness.
"the king's tide" is a beautiful work of art not just because of its visuals and pacing, but because it portraits one of our many flaws in a very compelling way. I cannot find the words to praise this movie enough, whether I'm talking about the characters, set design, cinematography or script. everything was perfect and I truly loved it.
p.s. someone said this "would have made millions of dollars if it had an A24 label" and honestly? I couldn't have phrased it better.
